Like many of our fellow small business owners, we have been looking into GDPR. We passionately agree with the ethos; who wouldn’t want fairness and transparency, a reduction in the amount of data that is kept, and more choice about what data people keep on us?
However we are also aware of the workload this has caused many small business owners: in our wish to get things right it has been a huge task throughout the Pink Spaghetti network. We have taken this responsibility seriously.
We started off believing GDPR was just about consent for marketing purposes, but actually the impact lies far deeper, so we have set about the task of making sure that every Pink Spaghetti PA is GDPR compliant. We deal with data that belongs to our customer, and as such we have an obligation under GDPR to make sure we know what we are doing with it.
