Hello, I’m Vikkie Richmond and I own and run the Pink Spaghetti PA Services franchise for east Kent.
As a virtual assistant, I get to do what I love, which is organising people and processes. My typical client is either a sole trader or a micro-business owner; I provide a business support service that allows these people to gain time back, either to spend on developing their business, with their families or on the golf course!
I live in Margate, thankfully only about a ten minute walk from the beach. Being able to support small businesses in this area is amazing, because east Kent has so many creative and diverse enterprises. As a small business owner myself, I know how tough it can be to get everything done and it’s great to be able to help people with some of the challenges that small business owners face.
I have worked in admin roles for most of my career, over 25 years of experience (around 7 of those were as a PA). I have also been a Secretary, a Healthcare Assistant, a Fundraising Administrator, a Business Support Manager and a Project Officer.
I have a diverse skills-set, including sound ‘soft’ skills (telephone, customer service, etc.). This means that I’m able to turn my hand to any task that a client needs completing. Having worked across the private, not-for-profit and local authority and civil service sectors, I have a broad range of experience in lots of different work environments; I feel that this gives me an advantage when working with smaller companies as I can adapt to suit any business model.
I do relish a challenge and I enjoy taking care of the day to day tasks that overwhelmed business owners don’t have the time or knowledge to complete.
Why a virtual assistant?
If you have never worked with a virtual assistant before, it can be a bit of a revelation! You can use my services as and when you require, on an ad-hoc basis, paying only for the time you use. Or, if you have more regular tasks that you need help with, you can take the services on a retainer agreement, which guarantees an agreed number of hours per week or per month for a set fee.

I have worked with this Canterbury-based client for around seven months with a variety of tasks. I regularly carry out competitor research and I manage two of their social media accounts, creating, scheduling and monitoring posts. I also create seasonal artwork for their platforms and send out a bi-monthly customer newsletter on their behalf. Last but not least, I research and write a monthly blog for their website.
I assist this customer with their appointments - booking property viewings, recording phone calls on their CRM system and following up new client enquiries. As this is a more traditional admin-based role, I also contact solicitors for sales progression queries. I have also been undertaking some project work to be able to map out an employee handbook, to enable smooth future growth for the company.

This Thanet based customer is all about the social media. I create, schedule and monitor posts for engagement across four different platforms, as well as creating seasonal artwork. I also assist with advertising copy for trade journals and industry magazines. Because the industry is growing, I am always looking for new people and relevant hashtags to follow on their channels.
I assist a local branch of a national charity with their Trustee Board minute-taking; every two months I produce and circulate an agenda, send round a Zoom or Teams meeting link (if unable to meet face to face), take the minutes of the meeting and chase up any actions arising.
