I am a virtual assistant working for busy small business owners in Norwich to provide them with the help and time they need. I set up my business because doing the background work everyone needs for their business makes me happy. I pride myself on being friendly, listening to my customers and going above and beyond for them.
My approach to customers is firstly to be able to take the weight off their shoulders and give them back time to work on the things that they love doing or to be with the people they love being with. Secondly, to train them how to do the things they know they want and need to do, but don’t know how.
Often our customers are busy business owners and entrepreneurs who simply don’t have enough hours in the day to do everything they need to do to run and grow their business and spend quality time with their family. Sometimes they don’t know what to “let go” of, but with my approach of starting small and building big, over time you can see the relief and happiness on their faces.
Why a virtual assistant?
Virtual Assistants work remotely so you don’t have to find them a desk / office space. A VA is cheaper than employing a full-time member of staff. There are no minimum hours or contracts so it is a ‘pay as you go’ service which you can use as and when you need it. Having a VA to take care of your business admin will allow you more time to focus on growing and running your business, safe in the knowledge that your VA is looking after certain tasks for you.
Small business owners often find it hard to switch off from their business, but a VA can allow you to outsource certain tasks that you either shouldn’t be doing, or don’t have time for. Using a VA will eliminate the need for interviewing, hiring and firing and the costs associated with that, they can also work flexible hours to suit you.

As a sole trader it is vital for both my business and my customers that I keep up to date with best practice, updates and advances, particularly on social media channels and WordPress. My aim is that I share my knowledge and skills with others as I am passionate about training my customers to both develop their skills and also to keep mine current.
Being part of a franchise means I have access to a wealth of information and experience in the other franchisees. There will always be someone who knows the answer to a question!
This also means that if you need cover due to holiday or sickness, you don’t have to worry as there is a whole network of talented ladies to back me up.

Something that is of the utmost importance is that I work as a personal assistant not just a virtual assistant. I often surpass a customer’s expectation by working with them to suggest new ideas and ways of working to perhaps be more efficient or productive.
Everyone’s definition of success is different and mine is to see a customer achieve theirs. I am not happy until they are happy! As the 25th hour in the day I help customers achieve whatever goals, objectives or vision they’ve set, this could be helping them with admin, organisation or social media marketing.

I have worked with this afternoon tea and cake company helping them out with their daily admin, booking enquiries and order forms. I also help them with their bookkeeping which includes sending out and chasing overdue invoices. In addition to this we write and send out a monthly newsletter to their clients.

I have worked with this Norwich based wedding cake maker for 2 years. I look after their admin, which includes responding daily to all their emails, taking enquiries about wedding cake consultations, updating any customer facing documents they have, dealing with general enquiries and sending out regular newsletters to subscribers. The Family Nutrition Expert
I have worked with this client for just over a year now. I look after their Facebook and Instagram accounts. This involves scheduling posts for the month ahead which relate to a monthly theme and sourcing relevant images. I also occasionally put together the text and images for a monthly newsletter to send out to their clients.
This is probably one of my most diverse clients in that I can do anything from social media scheduling, sending out emails to new clients and prospective clients, bookkeeping – including chasing overdue invoices, monthly finance spreadsheets, putting together client promotional packs, notifying clients of Christmas opening times and building up connections on LinkedIn to name but a few tasks!
