Small Business Saturday

Our franchisees are always keen to seek fun and unique ways to network and meet like-minded small businesses so when an opportunity presented itself to Ally Phillips (Owner of Pink Spaghetti Wirral, Ellesmere Port & Runcorn), she jumped at it.
Small Business Saturday UK is a fantastic initiative/collective event, held every year on the first Saturday in December. It’s a chance for small businesses across the UK to shout from the rooftops about what makes them special and encourage customers to engage and support them.
For the past few years it has also included a bus tour and when it visited the Wirral, Ally was especially keen to take part.
Ally applied to be part of the tour when it arrived on the Wirral and was lucky enough to have a stand next to the bus and be interviewed on the iconic ‘blue couch’. She also held a number of sessions with small business owners offering advice and support about developing their own business, and the whole experience was a huge success. Not only did Ally manage to raise her profile nationally and locally, she also gave back to other small businesses and built up some fantastic relationships along the way.
For the first time ever, the 2021 tour has been showcasing a fleet of eco vehicles that reflect daily life for small businesses and the sustainable switches many are making or considering - including an electric van, car and scooter, as well as a 'delivery style' push bike. This comes as 97% of small businesses say sustainability is important to their business, according to research by Tour supporter BT Skills for Tomorrow and Small Business Britain.
Small Business Saturday really is a fantastic way to promote your business – check out their website below to find out how you can get involved on the 4th December and beyond.
