Celebrating Women Who’ve Taken the Leap

Real Stories from Pink Spaghetti Franchisees

To mark this month being International Women’s Day, we’re shining a light on the incredible women in our Pink Spaghetti network who’ve taken control of their futures and built successful, flexible businesses around their own lives.

Whether they were juggling family commitments, facing redundancy or simply ready for something new, each of these women had one thing in common: transferable skills and a desire to do something for themselves. And that’s exactly what Pink Spaghetti helps make possible.

We’re proud to support women in becoming their own boss by offering the structure, support and mentoring needed to confidently launch and grow their own Virtual Assistant business. With a strong network behind them and a proven model to follow, they can build a career on their own terms, without compromising on time, values or identity.

Yuki - From Royal Office to Franchise Success

Yuki’s career has been nothing short of extraordinary.

After 20 years in luxury travel, she took on a maternity cover role as Chief of Staff to Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. But when it came time for her next chapter, she knew she wanted to build something of her own, drawing on all those transferrable skills which she had picked up along the way.

“I discovered Pink Spaghetti through a Facebook Live with Flexible Working People, and everything just clicked,” she explains. With her love for organisation and business support, a franchise felt like the perfect fit. “The training and support were phenomenal. I hit the ground running and have exceeded all my financial goals for year one.”

Now leading an exceptionally talented team as Pink Spaghetti Surbiton and Kingston, Yuki manages a diverse client base, from hedge funds to photographers. “The variety of work is incredible and I even find time to play tennis! It’s everything I hoped owning my own business could be.”

Yuki recently won a Great British Franchisee Award and is known for her incredible client relationships, efficient systems, and growing team. She joined Pink Spaghetti to find more flexibility for her family and now runs a successful VA business while being fully present for her children.
Nicola Case - From Freelance Marketer to Thriving VA Business Owner

Before joining Pink Spaghetti, Nicola had experienced the ups and downs of self-employment. With a background in marketing, she’d carved out a freelance career supporting businesses with their digital presence. While she enjoyed the variety of work and the ability to be creative, she often felt the weight of going it alone.

Nicola was craving more structure, a stronger sense of community, and a model that would support long-term growth, without compromising the flexibility she valued. When she discovered Pink Spaghetti, the idea of running a Virtual Assistant franchise felt like the natural next step, offering a ready-made brand, proven systems, training, and perhaps most importantly, a supportive network of like-minded women.

Now running her Pink Spaghetti franchise in Milton Keynes and Towcaster, Nicola combines her marketing expertise with the wide-ranging VA services that clients love.

Nicola says one of the biggest benefits has been being part of a community. Instead of facing challenges alone, she now has access to mentoring, resources and peer support at every stage of her business journey. “I’ve got a great support network who can help with guidance or picking up extra work,” she explains. “And I get to spend quality time with my family and love everything I do.”

For Nicola, joining Pink Spaghetti wasn’t about starting from scratch, it was about taking her existing skills and building something stronger, more sustainable and more supported.
